Costs vary depending on wall length, height, thickness, materials and how much groundwork and access is involved. Because every project is different, we offer a free site visit and then confirm a clear, itemised quote for your specific wall rather than using one fixed price.

You may need a retaining wall if your garden slopes, you want to create level terraces or you’re holding back raised areas of soil. During our survey we assess levels, soil and drainage, then advise whether a retaining wall is required and what type of construction will be safest and most cost‑effective.

In many cases, rear and side garden walls up to around 2 metres high won’t need planning permission, but front walls next to a highway may be limited to around 1 metre. Rules can vary, so we always suggest checking with your local  Shropshire planning authority; we can help you choose a suitable height and design.

Small front garden walls can often be completed in a few days, while longer or taller retaining walls take longer due to excavation, foundations and curing time. After we’ve surveyed your garden and agreed the design, we’ll give you a realistic timescale so you know what to expect.
